Fusion Voting was targeted by regressive forces(Republicans) and outlawed at the end of the 19th century and was systematically removed in a number of states including Oregon. Fusion voting is a way of uniting around a candidate about issues instead of wedge issues that divide people. Fusion voting has been proposed in the Oregon Senate and will soon be a hot topic as it can help us advance progressive causes and allow real issue discussion and leadership. Fusion voting puts a candidate potentially on a ballot under more than one party and lets you vote for that candidate under the political party of your choice.
