Seize the Moment to Change the Nation's Direction Through Responsible Federal Taxes

A tremendous opportunity to set our nation on the right course is nearly upon us, and Oregonians are coming together to make sure that we seize it.
 
That opportunity is the chance to restore responsibility to our federal tax structure by allowing the Bush-era tax cuts favoring high-income Americans to expire and extending Recovery Act tax cuts favoring modest-income households. Doing so would help our nation retool for a 21st-century economy, nurture small business, educate our children and revitalize the middle class.
 
Congress will likely begin deliberating these momentous tax policies when it convenes in September.
