Beaverton Celebration Parade This is it – the last big event of the summer! Join us this Saturday, September 13th - for Beaverton’s Annual Celebration Parade and Old Town Festival. The parade ends at our front door… where the Festival begins. How good is that??

What You Can Do:
•Carry signs for our candidates and our issues
•Hand out WCDCC flyers and Voter Registration forms
•Candy Brigade
•Wave to the crowds
•Have a great time representing the Democratic Party - the party of The People.

What You Need To Know:
1. We are Entry # 94 (Democratic Party – Washington County)

2. Staging location is the BEAVERTON CHRISTIAN CHURCH at SW Allen Blvd and Wilson Avenue. We will organize on the east side of Wilson Ave. between 8:00 and 9:30 AM. The parade starts promptly at 10:00 AM, rain or shine.

3. ROAD ACCESS: Farmington, Allen, Watson, Broadway and other streets along the parade route will be closed to ALL traffic at 8:15am.

Carpooling to the Staging Area is highly recommended. Carpool vehicles may park at Highland Park School with groups walking to the staging area.

Directions: Enter from Hart Road either off Murray or Hall and turn NORTH onto Wilson. Do NOT take Allen Blvd - Wilson will be closed to ALL southbound traffic at Allen Blvd.

4. SHUTTLE BUSES: If you are coming from East Beaverton / Raleigh Hills, you may prefer to park at Beaverton Town Center and take the shuttle bus to the Staging Area.

PLEASE NOTE: The buses will run from 8:00 to 9:00 AM only. Parking and pickup will take place in the Town Center parking lot north of Hollywood Video (look for signs or buses).

5. The WCDCC Office will be open all day, and will hold an Open House during the Old Town Festival - so be sure to enjoy the festivities from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Remember that due to the Festival, there will be no parking available in the office lot until after 4:00PM.

6. TV cameras will be waiting at Broadway and West streets! The parade will be broadcast at a later date on Channels 9 and 11.

7. Breakfast: Beaverton Christian Church is offering a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, juice and coffee from 7am to 10am to all those involved in the parade. Donations will be accepted but are not required.

Please contact Office Chair Jennifer Warren thru the Contacts Webform page for more information, or if you are planning to attend. Put the word 'PARADE' in the Subject line.
